Isaiah 40: Encouragement of God

Isaiahโ€™s prophecy has been the source of comfort and courage to the heavy-hearted for thousands of years. This is Godโ€™s reassurance that the Lord still loves Godโ€™s own, that God is still our God, and we who have put our hope and trust in the Lord are Godโ€™s people.

Isaiah 40: God’s Comfort

Isaiah 39: Flattery Got Them Everywhere

Assyria used weapons and threats, but that failed. The Babylonianโ€™s subtle use of flattery and gifts worked because Hezekiah failed to take their matter to the Lord.

Isaiah 38: God Turned Back Time

There is a spiritual maxim, here. God will present us with the same kind of trouble again and again.
