The Tru316Foundation is one of several organizations I am affiliated with and recently received a prestigious award from, as appreciation for the work I have been doing in concert with Dr. Joy Fleming and Rev. Bruce Fleming.
There are 66 books in the Bible, with 929 chapters, and 31, 102 verses. Over thirty thousand verses! But, The Tru316 Foundation focuses on just one verse: Genesis 3:16. Yes, you read that aright. Out of all the verses in the Bible, Tru316 concentrates on just one of them—and it is not even John 3:16!
So, how could the Genesis 3:16 verse be this important?
A Load-Bearing Wall
As I thought about that question, the idea of a load-bearing wall came to mind. In architecture, the soundness of the structure is of first importance. When a building is remodeled, certain walls, or pillars, must be protected, or the whole structure collapses. That’s because hidden within those key walls are supports bearing the load of the roof, and the upper floors.
Genesis 3:16 is like a load bearing wall. It is either strong enough to support a sound interpretive structure, or so weak in translation and interpretation that it causes collapse through unsound biblical teaching.
A River’s Source
The first book in The Eden Book Series opens with another metaphor, a story about a polluted river. But decontamination can only be effective if the pollution’s source is identified, cleaned out, and removed.
Genesis 3:16 is like the source of either a clean or a polluted river of biblical translation and interpretation.
A Lens
And then another metaphor comes to mind, that of lenses that help us to see. In life, if something is too small, or too far away to be seen well, then we use lenses to help us. Genesis 3:16 is like a lens that helps us to see and understand the rest of the Bible’s stories and teaching on women and men.
This is not a long video, just fifteen minutes, but in it I cover a critical hermeneutical tool: Using the Bible to interpret the Bible. What better source to understand God’s words than God’s published word? And consequently, I explain why poor translations of Genesis 3, and poor interpretations of this verse, lead to wrong doctrine and wrong understanding of God, God’s creation, and all human beings.
Tru316 Materials
Among the work I have been doing for The Tru316 Foundation is write Bible studies for Rev. Fleming’s books, and Dr. Fleming’s book soon to be released. The four books currently available are below, complete with commentary written in a very conversational and accessible way, and Bible studies throughout to equip the reader to see for themselves the truths that are uncovered when Genesis 3:16 is rightly translated and read within the context of its ancient setting.
This is me, by the way, receiving my award!

Congratulations and Thank you for sharing Gods work in this amazing project.
Thank you, Peggy!
