This is a new series, starting with Peter’s second letter, then moving backwards to his first.
Peter—like Paul—used the last of years of his life, spent in prison awaiting execution, to write letters, shepherd the flock, and receive visitors. His was a rich and fruitful life, filled with miracles, powerful teaching, robust theology, and ground-breaking work as an apostle.
Peter was a visionary, a prophet, and a pioneer. And when it came time to put all the Lord had given him to say into written form, Peter condensed his message into bullet points that would convey volumes in their brevity.
