The angel had already given John the heavenly interpretation of the riotous woman riding on the back of the dangerous creature, her golden goblet sloshing the red wine of martyr’s blood, her diadem and ill-gotten finery glinting, and the beast’s strange appearance both horrifying and fascinating to John’s staring eyes.
Now, the angel gave the interpretation of the horns, which were actually rulers of earth who would ally with the dangerous beast. There would be a great battle between the Creature and the Creator, the Beast and the Lamb. All those left on earth would fight with the Beast, all those called to God would fight with the Lamb.
And the Lamb would have the victory.
The aftermath would be devastation for the woman, for all the peoples of earth would turn against the government she represents and burn it to the ground.

undoubtedly identifies Rome, and particularly the religious center of Rome, as the Greek word πόρνη | pornē (which the woman in this text is called) often means “idolator” in the Bible.

The seven heads have already been determined to be seven rulers of Rome, or the Roman Empire.
Now the ten horns are also described as kings, but who have not been given realms to rule. Possibly, they are
- Vassal kings under the subjugation of Rome. When they got the chance, they revolted.
- Provincial governors who were given authority by Rome (such as, for example, Pontius Pilate) and therefore supported Rome. Rome did have ten provinces. Initially, they persecuted Christians, according to Rome’s command, but eventually rebelled.
- A number (not necessarily an even ten) of neighboring nations who allied with Rome in warring against Judea, and Jewish holdouts throughout Palestine, but were not otherwise loyal to Rome’s interests.
Both Rome and Jerusalem fit the description of a place were many nationalities and language groups coalesced.
Rome was an international, cosmopolitan center of a far-flung empire. Rome literally did have dominion over the kings of the earth. When Rome’s vassal kings revolted, Rome was sacked several times throughout history.
Jerusalem drew the Diaspora’s faithful Jews at least three times a year for the three Pilgrimage Festivals: Pesach (Passover), Shavuot (Weeks or Pentecost), and Sukkot (Tabernacles, Tents or Booths). Additionally, because of the Diaspora, and Rome’s tolerance of Judaism, there were synagogues in every town and city throughout the empire. Jerusalem also had spiritual or cosmic dominion over the kings of the earth according to Israel’s covenant with God as recorded in the scriptures.
Or, it is possible the Greek phrase τῆς γῆς | tēs gēs is meant to convey “the land,” as in “the land of Judea,” and not “the whole earth.” If so, then Jerusalem is easily identified as having dominion over the religious rulers throughout Judea and even Jewish Palestine.
The destruction of Jerusalem by worldwide enemies had also been predicted clear back in Ezekiel’s time, circa 592 – 570 BCE.

The ancient Roman historian and politician Tacitus (56 – c. 120 CE) documented wholesale massacres of Jewish people throughout the cities and towns of the Roman Empire shortly before the Jewish War of 66 – 70 CE began. Syrians, Scythians, and other Arab peoples harbored intense hatred towards the Jewish people and readily allied with Rome to destroy Judea, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people.

Notably, the seven heads/rulers come in a sequence of time. However, the ten horns/rulers come all at once. They represent the return of the Roman Empire, situated in Europe, to come at the end of human history. The ten horns correlate with the ten toes of the statue in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and the ten horns Daniel later saw rising up out of the seas.
Interpretation for what city is being depicted is drawn from a variety of biblical sources. The city is seen as a religious entity which has made political alliances throughout the world. In John’s day, that depiction accurately portrayed Rome as a world-wide empire which mandated emperor-worship, claiming divine origin for its Caesars. Throughout history, and to this day, that picture holds true for the church established in Rome with political and religious ties throughout the globe.
This religious tie is alluded to through the phrase they will eat her flesh, just as dogs ate the flesh of Queen Jezebel, the idolatrous monarch of old. Further indication comes through the code word “Babylon,” which will be both a place and also a picture of godless power and wealth.
In the middle of the Great Tribulation, the dangerous creature (as Daniel also predicted) will tire of competing with another religious system besides worship of himself. He will turn his minions against the harlot/idolator.
Spiritual
Though the ten horns may have been referring to Rome’s vassal kings of John’s own day, throughout history they represent anti-Christian powers which have arisen over the centuries since the demise of the Roman Empire. Such “powers” are seen in every sector of human society, wherever there is great influence—in the arts, in commerce and economies, in industry and lifestyles, in governments and philosophies.
The focus is the not only on the anti-Christian forces which have warred with the Lamb the past two thousand years, but also with the fickleness of those who oppose. They will, soon enough, oppose each other as well.

Interesting in the historical fact of all this conflict and how the perpetual battle between good and evil as depicted millennia ago during the time when many of the Prophets and the Apostles lived could apparently be reaching its frenzy or “breaking point” in “the here and now” during this “high-tech modern era” of life on earth! Tucho then takes a veiled shot at his predecessor, Cardinal Müller, who called the blessing of same-sex couples “blasphemy”:
Evidently, there is no room to distance ourselves doctrinally from this Declaration or to consider it heretical, contrary to the Tradition of the Church or blasphemous.
Please don’t insult our intelligence, Tucho. How much more condescending can you get? Your own predecessor is condemning this.
He then continues and summarises the text of Fiducia:
The Declaration contains a proposal for short and simple pastoral blessings (neither liturgical nor ritualised) of couples in irregular situations (but not of their unions), underlining that these are blessings without a liturgical format which neither approve nor justify the situation in which these people find themselves.
As we said before, the 2021 document disallowed blessing “same-sex couples” because these “couples” don’t even exist. Only individual persons can be blessed. But Fiducia claims that “same-sex couples” exist, and they can be blessed but “not their unions,” says the new clarification of the clarification.
What then is a couple? How does a “couple” come into existence except that they have some “union” which unites two individuals into a couple?

Tucho is claiming you can have a “2” without a “plus” in between the two “1s.”
This is not explained, but the bare claim is asserted as a “development” in the original Fiducia.
Then Tucho outlines how we are to submit ourselves to what he has previously termed “the doctrine of the Holy Father”:
Some Bishops, for example, have established that each priest must carry out the work of discernment and that he may, however, perform these blessings only in private. None of this is problematic if it is expressed with due respect for a text signed and approved by the Supreme Pontiff himself, while attempting in some way to accommodate the reflection contained in it… Prudence and attention to the ecclesial context and to the local culture could allow for different methods of application, but not a total or definitive denial of this path that is proposed to priests (emphasis added).
OK, so in Tucho’s mind, we are all to submit ourselves to this nefarious document and implement it in some way, even though some bishops have flatly rejected any application whatsoever in their entire country. But here’s the rub: Tucho is claiming Papal power to impose this on every priest directly.

This is the result of evil having too firm of a grip on not only America presently but the entire human race for too long, to the point where now it’s “ruling the roost” as the saying goes! Many evil criminals working in our government political structure should have been imprisoned long ago, but were allowed to carry on their nefarious activity unfettered or disrupted in any way! Then I came upon this article which addressed Calamity with Scriptures and explanation and cut to the chase in my own mind as to how often time the good suffer with the bad, at least to some degree for God’s purposes!
“Luke 13:1-5 Jesus perceived their thoughts, and even though they did not directly ask a question, Luke says He “answered them.” It suggests that He took their unstated assertion—that those who died must have been particularly sinful—and countered it with the truth. In both of His examples, Christ plainly says that those who died were not worse sinners. In both of the examples, He also redirects the focus back to the individual and the individual’s relationship with God and away from the speculation about why it happened to those specific people.
Notice that Christ does not deny that sin was involved in some way. In fact, He clearly implies that sin was involved in the examples He gave, because both times He said to repent. Repentance is only necessary when there is sin.
Proverbs 26:2 says that the “curse causeless does not come.” God has a cause, a reason, for the calamities He causes or allows. It is safe to say that the basic reason for a disaster is sin—somewhere. But we need to be careful about deciding which sin or whose sin was the cause. In Luke 13, Christ’s response was to get his listeners’ focus off the details of the immediate calamity and on to each listener’s personal standing with God. The details that we should be concerned with are those of our own walk with God.
Mankind has a tremendous propensity to resolve problems in his mind by assigning blame. Once we have placed the blame, we can go about our lives without having to delve any deeper. However, because of our inclination toward self-centeredness, we frequently focus on the wrong things.
As an example, if one were to ask the average man on the street about the causes of September 11, 2001, the answer would probably be about Osama bin Laden, al Qaida, and/or Islamic terrorism. We have placed those events in a box and labeled it, “Not our fault.” Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson found out quickly that America does not want to contemplate its own culpability, or its own sinfulness, as the reason God allowed that calamity. It is far easier to place the blame on terrorism than to think that God may have been displeased with us and the rampant immorality in this “Christian” nation.
Our human nature shies away from accepting blame. It is easier to wrap our minds around cataclysmic events if we can assign the blame far from ourselves.
Christ’s response in Luke 13 teaches us not to get caught up in the sordid details of the tragedy, but to look to our own houses and our own standing before God. Just as September 11 should have been a wake-up call for the nation to check itself, any calamity should cause us to evaluate our own ways. Given that these events were allowed by God to get our attention, the conclusion is that our attention has been on the wrong things. Our attention has been drawn away from God, and so God allowed this jolt so that we might consider our ways and make sure we are, in fact, following Him.
Calamities, if properly responded to, should initiate an examination of our relationship with God. It should prompt us to gauge how clearly we see Him and help us to identify where we are falling short. Our response should not be one of finger-pointing or presuming that we know the sum of God’s thoughts and have searched out all of His ways. Our response should be to evaluate our own houses and consider our own ways. Seems to be now a prepping of the world’s peoples for a “new world order one religion arrangement” that will usher in the antichrist who will claim he is God and here to claim humanity as his own, just as Biblical Prophecy has foretold! Just this morning I woke with “a word” seemingly appearing out of really nowhere while awakening from my sleeping but quite vivid dreaming state; where I was clearly observing money being removed from envelopes and counted, but, being most “predominate” in my thoughts was that one word, which is “Castigate!”
I see where now the whole world’s peoples are quite due for such. As I have been reading through John’s Revelation and thinking about the four basic ways scholars approach this book, I find myself struck time and again with how each perspective really seems to fit. The historicist viewpoint has some uncanny insights, but so does the preterist view. Yet the futurist understanding also fits (as you observing), while the spiritual perspective offers principles no one could disagree with, making this apocalyptic book just as sturdy and wholesome as all our other scriptures for growth and maturing.
The article you printed reads like a transcript from an interview. I’ve wondered what kind of impact this most recent papal instruction would have on the wider church. It sounds like he is trying to give both sides of the equation grace and room, sort of walking a middle ground, if there is one.
I have great empathy for what people are going through right now, this is a very troubled and turbulent time. My own prayer is that God would protect individual believers while at the same time giving us all clarity and unity of vision as Christ’s own. I so wish we could pull together as believers and be -for- something important, rather than be torn apart with so much controversy.

A year ago I cut back my own internet time which had become more of a trying to keep up with all the many news articles or pundits as they related to the global politics or current affairs along with a flood of daily email which was too time consuming. I’ve restricted my current intake to just a handful of Word Press blogs and a couple of independent news sites. I’m happy that your blog is at the top of my list as you always provide and offer so much in the history as well the understanding of our faith through such a knowledgeable perspective!
Just moments before seeing your comment here I opened an email that was addressing the matter of how the Holy Spirit will not enter a soul that has even a shred of pride as it were, and this was speaking to the idea of truly submitting fully to the will of God. I think I have a lot to learn in this regard and at times fault myself for being a flawed human sinful man which furthers both my anger with myself and my sorrow for not being good enough to God! I know it is He who is the Master Potter too and can shape whom He will to fit His righteous purposes just as He did with our beloved Apostles and fully illustrated that great things are always possible when we truly “trust in The Lord our God!”

This key element of the “Comforter” regarding what Jesus Christ said as to our not being left as orphans, which I now ponder helps me to also realize what you’re saying here about the four basic ways scholars approach this “Book of Revelation” perhaps all being equally relevant! And yet how to me of the greatest urgency is how so much more of the “spiritual perspective” is needed, as perhaps even “current revelation” if you will, that could come via the Holy Spirit!
Yes I didn’t think of that and discounted the latest papal declarations as heresy or severely flawed; to me more like a politician which he has appeared to be like on quite a view occasions! Glee; so very true what you’ve said here, and you pointing out “election fraud with the denying of the gospel” is candid and to the point of the most crucial matter at hand for any devout Christian, and of course those who must awake to God’s truth soon!
The sad but harsh reality is that multitudes are giving lip service to the gospel and also in vast numbers many who profess to speak for God and serve His will are “wolves in sheep’s clothing” only using it as a tool for their own devices, and even for the most diabolical of reasons which is to serve Satan! We see this example in plain sight of Bergoglio seated in the Catholic Church but there are other examples like it in many churches, as well as in many seats of government authority, where “those in power are wicked” and only serve themselves and the beast!
Another sad point of contention that I read about in a recent study is this; how a majority of the youngest generation have shown that “they live for pleasure and entertainment” or as I say “distraction to the point of delusion” in this warped culture “full of lies!” Now think of all those youngest among us being like “ready to pick ripe fruit” for the father of all lies, to use and abuse, so that he can own them for eternity!
People have to wake up fast and pray fervently every day making Jesus Christ their meaning and purpose to live, so that the Holy Spirit will teach and lead them unto paths of righteousness, as they instead do the will of our Father in heaven; making sure that they will be in paradise forever. Amen.

Brother-in-Christ Lawrence, I hope you can forgive this late reply. I am now in a PhD program as well working on these other projects (like this blogsite) and have found it harder to stay on top of things, so to speak.
I read through your impassioned account about what might be certain signs that human history is approaching the time John (and Daniel, Isaiah, Zechariah, Peter, Jesus, and a number of others) predicted will come. You may be right! There have certainly been eras in the past when a convergence of similar signs came together–something like the contractions a pregnant woman might feel a month or two before her time has come–but did not end in apocalypse. It’s hard to tell if this is another of those times, or whether this is (as they say) it.
I stand on the promise that when Jesus comes, it will be an unmistakable event. God’s people have always been ready, and will be ready on that great and glorious day to be reunited with Messiah.
I loved Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of Christ.” It is a masterpiece of a film that I still think about, now years later. It’s hard to watch the events surrounding the crucifixion, but the resurrection was so electrifying it has stuck with me ever since. This is, literally, the crux of our faith, and the hope that keeps us going, especially when everything around us seems to be closing in.

I was anticipating your reply early on but then when it didn’t arrive I actually thought how you must be so overwhelmed and busy these days and though feeling more sorry for myself in a way, getting a bit saddened, I just had to stop thinking in such a way or get hold of my bootstraps and gain more patience! And actually patience has never been a strong point of mine, but moreover it was your thoughts or perspective on this most consequential concern that I craved, perhaps like food (for thought) to be honest with anticipation! But reality is that the world or other people’s lives don’t revolve around me, nor would I ever want any such foolish arrangement; I had actually been pondering the last few days about my past endeavors and how many years back I was right on the fast track in Hollywood, having basically walked into the studios and meeting some very influential people, with much more to come being actually on the brink of a big break as it were, when I felt the whole dream I had wasn’t feeling right, the whole seeking to be an actor and craving attention, so I pulled the plug and left. And now in this time it’s most definitely, let go and let God while trusting in Him alone to keep us all; in pace and step with His will only, and thus in His graces.
I now feel empathy for you in your current circumstances of being so pressed for time, and your attention to so much, being absolutely required! I knew you had achieved high levels of education over the years and didn’t imagine you’d be diligently pursuing a PhD at this time; but the fact that you are even going further in those studies is so commendable! My dad always said you should never stop learning in life and grandfather of whom I’m his name sake, who didn’t have the luxury of pursuing higher education but had been a self-made man from his boyhood (early teens) on his own always taught his entire family that education should be paramount and all his and grandmother’s children achieved higher education!

In past turning points in history, I agree so many woes and pains came upon the earth and we humans, but, to me the serious clincher is the high level of “rampant diabolical evil” getting its way throughout the world exponentially in comparison and how communism has indeed flooded over the world’s people, causing so much disruption and discord! But then we can now multiply this corruption exponentially by the fact of the digital empire being developed along with AI, which is to me a seed of destruction manifesting, as these things I just mentioned are thereby coupled or interlinked, all of it morphing like some kind of “oracle” that has now the soon to be independent ability through the amassing of all human knowledge and sciences, in order to allow humans with its AI’s tutelage the ability to manipulate and change the basic gene structure that makes us human, which to me is God’s DNA or in a sense fingerprint, His infinite wisdom and purposes, that he infused into mankind, the “making them in His own image and likeness,” but to do such a thing is beyond Apocalyptic and actually a true Abomination, as man will be acting as his own God thereby rejecting His (God’s) authority, which is just what “the father of all lies Lucifer” ordered to do God’s children in!
Let’s face it things are in a state of frenzy now with attacks coming from all directions and sources even upon each other, so this fever pitch to me spells out how Satan has such a powerful grip upon so many “key players” if you will, and he is “pushing the envelope” to the limit now as his time is drawing to a close at some point perhaps sooner rather than later; his only consolation being to pull as many souls as possible away from our Lord Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. As it goes; the Devil getting his due!
This is so important, “when Jesus comes, it will be an unmistakable event. God’s people have always been ready, and will be ready on that great and glorious day to be reunited with Messiah.” Yes of course there are those most beautiful children of God that live such chaste and remarkably faithful lives and they are prepared! But Scripture does point out how there are and will be so many asleep in Christ not giving any heed to what they are doing or may befall them at any moment, “like a thief in the night” he will come and that says so much I do believe, as to this fact of so many asleep in the Lord, as to their not being prepared for the “Bridegroom” which is also as you know in Scripture, relative to the historical analogy of the time, how the bride was prepared and then all would suddenly leave to proceed to and attend the blessed wedding at an unannounced moment that the father of the bride decided upon! I get teary eyed thinking of how simple and clear God has made these things for we children of God to see, but, today way too many distractions and “pomp with circumstance” causes so many to think in such an aloof way, to say all of that history or Scriptural truth is now just “old fables;” not relative truth at all to many! Look what many of our so called leaders and politicians were saying over the last several years about how the US Constitution is just “an old outdated document” and we see how “they had put no stock in it” only working to circumvent it at every turn or not wanting we Americans to live by it any longer, but rather, to take on a new way of seeing and doing things, which will “only serve the most nefarious” and tyrannical out there in the “crooked ways of the world!” Our Constitution which I believe was God inspired and designed by decent God fearing Christian men of that time, to now, where it will just be scuttled if they have their way!

I’m beginning to question what most people have always it seems assumed as to the time of the Second Coming; and I tend to see this following statement as at least possibly valid as to some person or persons being able to interpret the “Signs” that will be evident prior to or heading into the most cataclysmic event in the history of the universe since its creation!

And before I queried this source that I quote from, I actually thought about this following verse of Scripture that they also refer to as very poignant to this point of contention.
Acts 1:6-8 “So when they came together, they asked Him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 Jesus replied, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
But, I see where they acknowledge that nowhere in Scripture does it indicate that God has or will reveal to anyone when the End Time will occur! In this regard I only agree that we should always be trying to “prepare ourselves for judgment” that can come at any moment, in order that we be found worthy and then “enter by the narrow gate!” I have my difficulty with all of this in that I see Scriptures state we know when “harvest times” are near or when a “massive climate event” is approaching; so will we not be able to ascertain “Signs” of impending judgment coming upon the world? Sodom and Gomorrah is clearly an example of the bringing forth of impending catastrophic doom by outrageous human sin, the consequence of which then being imminent; but those people were obviously not preparing themselves to be worthy but rather living like all that mattered was their own greed and lust or even self-worship thereby being judged accordingly! This points out clearly all of which we see decadently abounding in the world today throughout societies, or on the internet alone it’s so over-the-top folly and madness to such a massive extent so much of the time. If I could call a generation a “lost generation” or one where the “blind lead the blind” it sure has that look on a massive scale!

So this leaves me with the quoting from the book of Matthew the following Scriptural verses.
Matthew 24:32-34 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and sprout leaves, you know that summer is near. 33So also, when you see all these things, you will know that He is near, right at the door. 34Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.”
Sister Joanne, and I say with all respect, because I see you as being so knowledgeable in all of this; how I even feel it perhaps I can say, deeply in my heart and soul, that it sure seems like our Lord is “right at the door.” Is this possible as to “End Time Revelation” or in the very least He our Savior if via the Holy Spirit with the Father coming close to those who are of that mindset and of humble heart to inspire, instruct and touch us so as to awaken us to what is coming? He did tell us that we would “not be left like orphans” and I tend to think He our Savior literally walks with us if we have turned over or “given our hearts to Him” and seek the truth. Knock and the door shall be opened is a basic foundational tenet and truth from God!

I agree 100% and when I brought my own mother to the theater as we watched and Jesus was handed over for crucifixion the poor dear woman hurried out into the lobby crying and saying I can’t look at Him being tortured! I had to watch and knew that He was getting what I damn well deserve but Christ took it all upon Himself because He loves us so much! I identify so much with what Dismas felt and witnessed, Dear Lord can we imagine what that was even really like to be on a cross next to our Savior, I always actually sob like a child watching that scene and cry even now remembering it!
He Mel was chosen to do this work by God, and I suppose like I’ve said my deciding to leave Hollywood it was best, as my dad always said “you made a decision you thought to be best so accept that and just figure it “wasn’t meant to be.” Mel did what he knew he should do and almost committed suicide before getting to that point; but thank God he was guided and did what was “meant to be” by God! His Resurrection film is as you know in the pipeline and due to be released this year, which I already know from some clip releases that it will be an awesome event film, that will be crushing emotionally both “sad and joyous” because both components are present in our Lord Jesus’ journey to and from the cross! I can say that I feel that amazing insights and revelations are forthcoming; this is a most pronounced and extraordinary time we now live in!
Matthew 14:26-27 “When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!” they said, and cried out in fear. 27But Jesus spoke up at once: “Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

We don’t do the thinking for God ever; He demonstrates how we should think in accordance with His will. Jesus used parables extensively because demonstrating by example or analogy; pictures and stories is the best mode of exchanging Truth from God! It was no accident that Calvary was set up in the manner it was demonstrating faith at work directly in God’s sight through Jesus Christ with no lukewarm only hot or cold, one chose Jesus and one rejected Him!

Whenever I read your notes, I know you are going to give me much food for thought. We stand together with Jesus’s own disciples, wishing we could be given a day and a time for the Lord’s return, and accepting the Lord wants us to live by faith in Him day to day. As you pointed out, if we know the day, then we no longer are living daily by faith. For some, that might even give a “pass” to relax their spiritual disciplines, as the time is long.
But, your contemplations on scripture also prompted me to remember something else Jesus said, and later Paul affirmed. Jesus said, on the night before He died,
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me because he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine. For this reason I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13-15)
Later, Paul wrote,
“’For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)
There is so much Almighty God does share with us, astonishing wisdom and knowledge that is ours through Christ. We may not know the day and hour, but we absolutely can discern signs.
There have been partial fulfillments throughout history, that’s one of the things I am learning through my reading of Revelation. And perhaps we will also be a partial fulfillment, that part is hard to tell. But certainly we are recognizing apocalyptic signs occurring today, and it is right to be alert and ask the Lord how we should wisely respond.

I just walked in and put some groceries away while talking to my new dog with blue eyes, then put some seed out for the birds that hang around my home in anticipation all of the time! I just thought about our human anticipation, and how there isn’t anything better in existence to be waiting around anticipating than the return of our “Dear Sweet Lord Jesus!”
I will have to pause before going on in any depth, but, will plan on returning to topic with you shortly for sure, of course if God will’s it! I surely don’t want to distract you from all of your work and duties so my follow-up should be hopefully concise and tight! I will ponder these verses (John 16:13-15)(1 Corinthians 2:16) you referred me to, they are so beautiful and imperative as I see it! And I was just thinking how sometimes we people argue about all of the disarray even in trying to understand something as colossally important as Revelation! I was so inspired and impressed with how you laid out the different theological approaches that I hadn’t considered before, for interpretation of the “Book of Revelation,” as to genuinely interpreting its meaning and importance for humanity! I always thought of it as mainly a futuristic prophesy given to us so we can gain the understanding of what to expect as the world approaches the “end of the time-line” that God established at the beginning of this material existence or is it after the fall in the Garden; I see this is as a profoundly more complex narrative than just being taken at face value or looking at its surface.
I will be pondering after some prayer and tending to duties but hopefully sooner rather than much later I will return with something relevant I hope! I can say this, just today while shopping for those groceries I had a brief conversation with a man who works there at the store and we spoke about retirement, family and the state of affairs in the world being so against the average working person these days, and most poignantly what the young children are facing growing up in this very trying place these days! Then I told him how my brother just before his sad untimely passing told me with no frills or expounding like I do; “we are here to love and serve God!” The man whose name is Michael immediately began nodding and said definitely as he smiled being “taken aback” that we spoke of something so worthwhile and important! He and everyone there at that major food chain know me as a talker and I even asked the boss there today if I was doing it too much at times, but, he said; “no its fine,” so I found I wasn’t on thin ice or causing any dilemma for any of the employees and I was relieved!

Sister-in-Christ Joanne, I still have some contemplation and prayer to do before I address the original matter at hand. But meanwhile a few things came into my view that relate well and especially in reference to what I had already written in my long previous initial comment to your essay.
I mentioned Hollywood years ago and I know for a fact what I sensed back then is exponentially increased along with what I brought up about the digital empire mankind is developing in unison with AI. Just moments ago I watched a short YouTube piece “we have 8 days left” about Musk and AI, then I looked down at the comments and two of the initial commenters pegged my own overview as to what might be going on and what I have said right along of how I was not impressed at all by Musk; and still while so many fall over the place as huge fans or not being able to say or thank him enough for taking over Twitter now X, which does have an occult dark side to it as a label, (see my definition excerpt below), but Musk is in love with it obviously, and I know I see a very dark menacing component to what he pushes and even about him. Pushing his EV’s alone means rare earth materials or minerals needed in massive amounts which are highly toxic to life and everywhere they mine them, mostly 3rd world countries, its damaging or contaminating the aquifer or water tables with deadly toxins which even children are involved in the collection of some of it after initial mining is done to capture smaller quantities or amounts of these minerals which I’ve written about a couple of years ago. The exposures are going to kill or cripple these people in time. But even more sinister is the fact that Musk being so involved in AI and brain chip technologies, now coming at us really fast, and this video I watched with those comments, brought to a pinpoint just what I’ve been thinking! Of how human souls may be hacked or interlinked to the AI, some “quasi high-tech demonic possession thing!” We know about occult practices opening portals and what is to stop these techno giants from tapping human spirit or hacking then to introduce them with demons that enter the AI/Digital Realm like an open portal and then the really bad stuff can ensue! Even potentially a form of digital dictatorships that will monitor everyone constantly all of the time, as all of this could even be tied into massive global systems for the antichrist to enslave the human race or a large portion of it as minion slaves, which will then seek out and destroy any of the good humans left! A real Zombie Apocalypse perhaps? Could fit into Scriptures as I see it, but, of course I’m no theologian, so I hope those who are perhaps are running many steps ahead of me on this, to bring the truth out to the world; or in the least to Christians!

The Narrow and Wide Gates

Here is where I give great pause as to the truth and God’s great mercy, yes as I had mentioned previously regarding Dismas being saved, what a beautiful redemption and hope for all of us; but we aren’t literally attached to a cross next to Jesus Christ and going through such a monumental event in real time! Rather we are really on a slippery slope it seems with regard to human failure and so much sin seething in the world through all people, so how can most of them be saved? It doesn’t seem likely, and sadly rather; that most may be lost! This is frightening to me for sure, for who am I but a lowly sinner, and I know I’ve been a fool at times in spite of my good deeds or acts of love and kindness! We can get caught up in life or ways of the world that rub off on us over the years, too easily thinking only about getting what we want and think we need, but, the question must be; truly how obedient to God are we being we must ask! I see how through life it seems the multitudes go along thinking primarily on emotion or the gut, getting their fill day to day! I’ve done that at times, just being so sure of myself and human earthly goals day to day! Perhaps those that “suffer the most” are serving the Lord more aptly or likely!
Thank you for this opportunity to be inspired and get a boot to the behind to get me charging forward with hopefully genuine humble supplication in seeking to know God’s truth and will in our lives daily!

Once again, Brother-in-Christ Lawrence, you have provided much food for though. Your research into the letter and symbol “X” is extensive, I didn’t know any of that. And I agree with you in your concerns about the mining rare earth. It is a nonrenewable resource, so the strip-mining that is so damaging, and the waste that will never go away will be the aftermath when every last bit has been mined. Either new technologies will be developed to sustain all the batteries and devices that rely upon this resource, or … the entire earth will experience a Dark Age. It remains to be seen.
In the meantime, we who are the Lord’s remember that it is God’s Kingdom we invest in and represent. The Kingdom of Heaven does intersect with earth’s kingdoms, but we already know that only God’s Kingdom will remain, in the end. We, as believers, are called to care for the earth as God’s representatives, with wisdom, with tender care, and we are to take care of people in the same way. But, even as we fulfill that Genesis 1:28 mandate, we also know that the end of human history, and indeed of this universe as we know it, will come. Even nonbelievers know that, for the sun will go nova one day, and all this that we have will disappear in that moment.
Sometimes, as I hear of these terrible things happening all around the globe, I lay the fearsome burden at God’s feet, remembering the Lord’s words, “These things must happen.”
