This prayer takes patience, and it takes perseverance. It takes courage and it takes faith. But if you and I are willing to pray it, and do what God shows us, there will be no regrets when we come to the end of our lives.
“Will I Ever Be Happy Again?”
“God,” we might whisper through cracked lips and aching heart, “is there any way, any chance, You could bring good out of this bad situation?” This is possibly one of the most powerful prayers you and I can every bring to God.
“I Don’t Know What To Do”
Wisdom is not just knowing the right thing to do, it is doing the right thing. In order to receive God’s wisdom you and I must already be prepared to follow through with what God shows us.
“I Admit It: I Am Afraid”
“In the world you face persecution, but take courage: I have conquered the world!” -Jesus
“This Stress Is Killing Me!”
The more of us that we give to the Lord to fill, the more we will sense Jesus’s peace flooding our souls, that quiet, confident faith that pushes out fear, stress, and anxiety.
“Am I a Terrible Person?”
There is great power in the words “God, please forgive me.” Not only will God forgive you and me, but God will clean out the wound.
“I Can’t Take It Anymore!”
God is not the one authoring the harm. That is on the broken world, all the broken people (including you and me) in the world with our sharp edges, and the powers of evil that hate God and all that is good and lovely. But God does not leave it there. God insists on finding a way to turn even these horrible things into good.
“What’s In It for Me?”
The Bible also talks about being good stewards, being responsible as well as generous. You and I cannot spend what is not ours, what is supposed to cover our obligations. But we can be responsible and generous, just as God is.
“Why Should I Get Involved?”
DeStefano points out this amazingly simple yet propfound truth: When we help someone we reduce the amount of suffering in the world, we become part of the process of God working things together for good.
Where Are You, God?
Are you really down about something right now? Just sick about it, you are so disappointed. Everything looks bad. What might happen if you went directly to God and asked the Lord to comfort you and encourage you?
